Top 10 Strongest Beers To Try

Beer is the world’s oldest prepared beverage, assumed to be dating back to nearly 9000 BC and since then it has been man’s best friend. It is the most widely consumed alcoholic drink; the 3rd most popular drink overall, after water and tea. Beer is generally considered low in alcoholic content when compared to Gin, Vodka, Rum and Whiskey. However there are some beers that are breathtakingly strong in alcoholic content. Let’s take a look at Top 10 Beers that can knock the manliness out of you.

Struise Black Damnation Vi – Messy

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 39.00%

It smells  similar to Black Mes, but slightly stronger once allowed to warm up. Roasted malts and some black coffee notes, with lots of scotch barrel on this one as well. It has thick body, opaque pitch black with no visible carbonation.

BrewDog Sink the Bismarck

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 41.00%

This is from brewdog Stockholm. It’s smell is of booze and dank, resinous hops. Taste is the most bitter hop flavor imaginable, also starts out quite promising, and is exactly what you’d expect if you distilled a high-ABV IIPA. Citrus and tropical hops with caramel and brown sugar malts. This is a very interesting beer. It is like the whisky of hops. A few sips is enough.

Struise C-DOS Cuvée Delphine On Steroids aka Pablo Eiscobar

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 41.00%

Smell is rather hot, but still incredibly balanced considering the ABV.

Schorschbrau Schorschbock 43

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 43.00%

This beer starts very fruity with intense notes of apricot and then immediately turns very alcoholic, burning like fire. The next gulps start milder but the aftertaste shows an incredible burning, sweet notes and sticky in the mouth. Aroma gets more and more soapy. Surprisingly easy to drink. A very hot beer and definitely a beer to enjoy

Koelschip Obilix

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 45.00%

Smells of complex fruits, we pick up candied figs and apples. There is a lot of sweetness too. The Taste is way over the top. It tastes like some kind of cough syrup. The mouthful is fruity and on fire from the alcohol.

The End Of History

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 55.00%

This 55% beer should be drunk in small servings whilst exuding an endearing pseudo vigilance and reverence for Mr Stoat.

Schorschbrau Schorschbock 57

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 55.00%

Very limited bottles were made. Extreme alcoholic aroma, but It leaves some fruity hints of peaches and a hint of vanilla. Starts extreme alcoholic, burning, fiery, breathtaking. But behind all the alcohol also some fruity notes, again peaches and apricot. Burning, long lasting aftertaste. Extreme experience, but the beer is certainly hard to compare with others.

Start The Future

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 60.00%

This smells like a Agave or Tequila. It burns and leaves a most unpleasant sweetness in my mouth.

Brewmeister Armageddon

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 65.00%

This beer has absolutely no carbonation and no head. Aroma is of super-strong smoky malt, similar to Scotch ale, but five times more aromatic. A major blast of malt but not a ton of alcohol. Doesn’t smell stronger than vodka. Taste is amazing, very warming but still does not hit like 65%.

Brewmeister Snake Venom

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 67.50%

The smell of the beer is sweet and boozy, there is a subtle citrus note. The taste of the beer is a lot like a mild whiskey of some kind with a sharp hop bitterness in the finish. The mouth-feel has a good amount of heat, far more than Armageddon.
